Hello Mr. Mujahid,

Kindly check to see if your users' profiles allow access to all the directories listed in the error message. If this is not the case, give the users the necessary rights.

Clear Internet Explorer cache.

This error is not entirely related to SPSS; it happens when the user tries to access any .chm files. Clearing the cache in Internet Explorer seems to fix the problem.
1. Open Internet Options --> Click the Delete Files button under the Temporary Internet Files section of the General tab, click "OK".
2. Click the Settings button, then click the View Files button.
3. Hold down the Ctrl key and press a. Then hit your delete key. This will clear out all of your temporary Internet files.
4. Under the History section, click on the Clear History button, but ONLY if you want to clear out your address bar.

If clearing the cache proves ineffectual, try re-registering the HTML help control in Windows:

1) Go to Start > Run
2) At the Run dialog, type the following:

regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\hhctrl.ocx

Finally, if the problem is still unresolved, try the following:

1) Open Edit->Options and choose the Scripts tab
2) Un-check the Enable Autoscripting option.
3) Re-launch the application.

There might be some useful information in the Event Viewer (Control Panel->Admin Tools->Event Viewer). It may be helpful to look into the details for Application, Security, and Internet Explorer if it's there.
